We wanted an anniversary sale that rewards the friends who show up first, so we built the offer to run in one direction only. It starts at its best and it never comes back up.
It opens at 35%
Friday, 6:00 AM
The sale launches at 35% off regular-priced apparel and accessories. That is the highest it will ever be.
It drops every six hours
6 AM, Noon, 6 PM
The discount falls one percentage point at each of the three daytime steps. Whatever begins at 6:00 PM holds overnight until 6:00 AM.
It stops at 20%
Wednesday onward
Once the road reaches 20% off it stays there through Thursday, August 20 at 11:59 PM, then the sale is finished.

Nineteen years
It started because the gear did not exist
In 2007 there was no shortage of athletic clothing in Canada. There was a shortage of clothing built for people who actually lived in the gym. Heavier fabrics. Cuts that worked on a lifter's frame. Gear that survived more than a season. Gym Star was one lifter deciding to solve that instead of waiting for someone else to.
Nineteen years later we are still independent, still obsessed with the gym, and still doing the same job we started with. What changed is how many of you are in it with us.
2011
On the road, banner by banner
Before algorithms did the introducing, this is how Canadian lifters met GASP and Better Bodies. A booth, a rack, and a conversation with someone who actually trained.
2014
A room you could walk into
The Pro Shop gave the brand a physical home, and it gave lifters something an online store cannot. Somewhere to try the fit, ask the questions, and get an honest answer.
2017
Still the same job
Ten years in, the founder was still on the floor, still checking fits, still wearing the product. That has not changed and it is not going to.
Today
Nineteen years and still open
The Pro Shop is still here and the online store still ships coast to coast. Two doors into the same business, built for the same people.
A note from the founder
I started Gym Star because I wanted something better. Nineteen years later, you are the reason it is still here.
I did not set out to build a clothing company. I set out to solve a problem I had as a lifter, and it turned out a lot of you had the same one. That is the entire origin story.
Every year since has come down to the same thing. Someone decides to trust us with an order, or walks into the shop, or tells a training partner where to find the good stuff. Nobody stays in business for nineteen years without that.
So this week is not really about a percentage. The percentage is just how we say it. Thank you for nineteen years, and thank you for living the lifestyle.

We found both brands in 2008 by digging through forums and niche corners of the internet, back when nobody in North America was talking about them. They have been the core of what we do ever since, and Gym Star is Canada's premium dealer for both.

The Road to 20 runs in the Gym Star Pro Shop on exactly the same schedule. The current discount is posted at the counter and changes at the same three times every day.

The Pro Shop is closed on Sunday, August 16. The discount still drops on schedule that day and the online store stays open, so nothing on the road pauses.

- USA shipping is calculated at checkout and is never free

- All other Gym Star policies are unchanged during the promotion
Orders placed before the sale
The anniversary discount applies only to orders placed during the promotion. We do not adjust, reprice or modify orders placed before the sale begins, and the discount cannot be applied retroactively to a previous order. This applies to online orders and to Pro Shop purchases.
- Orders placed before Friday, August 14 at 6:00 AM Saskatchewan time stand as purchased
- No price adjustments, credits or refunds of the difference on earlier orders
- Cancelling and repurchasing an existing order to obtain the discount is not supported
- Once your order is placed during the sale, the discount is locked in at that rate and does not change if the percentage drops later
Important: returns during this sale
Our standard return policy makes any item discounted 25% or more a final sale. Because this promotion starts at 35% and works down, that rule applies for the first part of the week.
Anything bought at 25% off or higher is final sale and cannot be returned. That covers every order from launch until Monday, August 17 at 6:00 PM. From 24% off and below, our normal return eligibility applies to qualifying merchandise.
At the opening discount, orders will be final sale.
