Product Reviews

Tell The Rest Of Us What The Gear Is Really Like.

Every approved review earns you 50 points. It also does something money cannot buy: it tells the next lifter whether that tank runs big, whether those leggings hold up under heavy squats, and whether the fabric is worth it. Two minutes of your time, and you are helping thousands of people shop smarter.

Why We Ask

Reviews Are Written By Lifters, For Lifters

We have spent nearly two decades hearing the same questions. Does this tank fit a thick back. Do these joggers shrink. Is the Iron fit really that oversized. We answer those questions every single day, and we are happy to. But there is one voice that carries more weight than ours, and that is yours.

When you leave a review, you are not filling out a form. You are handing the next person the exact piece of information you wish you had before you ordered. You lifted in it. You washed it. You know.

We do not curate reviews to make ourselves look good. We publish them so you can shop with your eyes open.

That is why we pay you for it. Fifty points per approved review, every time, whether the review is glowing or brutally honest. If something did not work for you, say so. We would rather lose one sale than lose your trust.

Two Ways In

Pick Whichever Is Easier

Both paths land in the same place. Both earn the same 50 points. Choose whichever one you happen to be closest to right now.

Fastest

From The Review Request Email

After your order arrives, we send you a review request email. Open it, click the stars, and write. No login, no password, no hunting for the product page. It takes about two minutes.

Check your promotions or spam folder if you have not seen it. It comes from us, and it has your actual products in it.

Any Time

From The Product Page

Deleted the email, or reviewing something you bought a while back. No problem. Log in, find the product, scroll to the Customer Reviews section below the description, and write it there.

This path works for anything you have ever ordered, not just your most recent delivery.

Step By Step

How To Submit A Review

Five steps, start to finish. If you get stuck at any point, email us and we will walk you through it personally.

01

Use The Email On Your Account

This is the one that trips people up, so we are putting it first. Your review must be submitted using the same email address tied to your Gym Star account, which is normally the email you check out with. If you review under a different address, we have no way to match the review to your account, and the 50 points cannot be credited.

02

Open The Review Request Email, Or Log In

The review request email is the shortcut. If you would rather go through the site, click the person icon in the top right corner of gymstar.ca and log in. Never logged in before, or cannot remember the password. Use the password reset option and you will be back in within a minute.

03

Find The Product You Bought

If you are reviewing from the email, the products are already there. If you are reviewing from the site, head to the product page for the item you want to review and scroll down past the main description until you reach the Customer Reviews section.

04

Rate It, Write It, Show It

Set your star rating, give the review a title, and write what you actually thought. You can upload photos as well, and we strongly encourage it. A real photo of the gear on a real lifter is worth more to the next shopper than anything we could ever write ourselves.

05

Submit, Then Watch For Your Points

Hit submit and your review goes live once approved. Your 50 points are credited in roughly seven days, and they will appear in your account balance ready to spend. One approved review, 50 points, every time.

What It Is Worth

Fifty Points. Every Approved Review.

Points are the same currency you earn on every dollar you spend with us. Twenty points redeem as one dollar off, so an approved review puts $2.50 back in your pocket. Review a few pieces from a haul and it adds up quickly.

50 Points per approved review
20 = $1 Points to dollars
~7 Days Until points are credited
  • Points are credited for approved reviews. Star rating has no bearing on it. An honest one-star review earns the same 50 points as a five-star one.
  • The review must be left using the email address on your Gym Star account. This is the single most common reason points go missing.
  • Photos are welcome and encouraged, though they do not change the points total. A review earns 50 points with or without them.
  • Points stack on top of everything else you earn. Signing up gets you 50 points, and every dollar you spend earns more.
The Good Stuff

What Makes A Review Worth Reading

You do not need to write an essay. But a few specifics turn a decent review into one that genuinely helps the next person decide. Here is what fellow lifters are actually looking for.

Your Size And Build

Tell us your height, your usual size, and roughly what you carry. A large on a lean 5'9" runner reads very differently than a large on a 6'2" powerlifter.

How It Actually Fits

True to size, snug through the chest, roomy in the thigh. GASP runs across Standard, Original, and Iron fits, so say which one you took and how it landed.

How It Holds Up

Fabric weight, stretch, whether it kept its shape after a few washes. Durability is the whole reason people buy premium, so it is the thing they most want confirmed.

Where You Wear It

Heavy leg day, conditioning, gym to street. Knowing what the gear was actually put through tells the next person whether it will survive their own training.

A Photo

The single most useful thing you can add. Studio shots show the garment. Your photo shows how it looks on a real person who trains, which is the part people want to see.

The Honest Take

If something disappointed you, write it. We would rather someone size up than get burned. Critical reviews earn the same 50 points as any other.

Common Questions

Review FAQ

How many points do I earn for a review?

You earn 50 points for every approved product review. Since 20 points redeem as one dollar, that is $2.50 in rewards per review. The amount is the same whether you leave a five-star review or a one-star review, and the same whether or not you attach a photo.

Why have my points not shown up yet?

Points are credited roughly seven days after your review is submitted, so give it about a week before worrying. If it has been longer than that, the usual cause is that the review was left using a different email address than the one on your Gym Star account, which means we cannot match it to you. Email us at sales@gymstar.ca and we will sort it out.

Do I need an account to leave a review?

You can leave a review straight from the review request email without logging in. However, to earn the 50 points, the review must be tied to the email address on your Gym Star account. If you have never created an account, set one up first using the email you check out with, and you will pick up a 50 point signup bonus at the same time.

Can I add photos to my review?

Yes, and we would love you to. Photo reviews are by far the most useful thing on a product page, because they show the gear on a real lifter rather than a studio model. Photos do not change the points total, which stays at 50 per approved review, but they make your review dramatically more valuable to everyone reading it.

What if my review is negative?

Write it anyway, and you will still earn your 50 points. We do not filter reviews to protect our own reputation. If a piece did not work for you, that information helps the next lifter make a better decision, and it helps us have a better conversation with the brands. If there is a fault or a fit issue we can fix, reach out to us as well. We would much rather solve the problem than leave you stuck with something you will not wear.

Can I change or remove a review I already submitted?

Get in touch at sales@gymstar.ca or call or text 888-720-4977, and let us know which review you would like updated or taken down. A real person handles it, usually within one business day.

Nothing To Review Yet

Start With Something Worth Writing About

If you have landed here before your first order, here is where most people begin. Come back and tell us how it went.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write one. Reviews are the closest thing we have to the old days of standing in the Pro Shop and hearing straight from the person who trained in the gear. You keep that going, and we do not take it for granted.

Keep grinding. We have got your back.
