The GASP Fit System

Nail Your GASP FitThe First Time

GASP is not built like ordinary gym clothing. Heavy fabrics, deep-cut tanks, old-school bodybuilding cuts, true oversized pump covers. One generic size chart was never going to cut it. This is the most complete GASP sizing guide in Canada, built by Gym Star for lifters who want the piece to fit exactly the way it is meant to.

Standard, Original, Iron

Almost every GASP T-shirt is built on one of three fit platforms. Choose the wrong platform and the right size will still feel wrong. This is the single most important decision in your order, so start here.

STANDARD Fitted / Athletic ORIGINAL Relaxed / Classic IRON Oversized / Pump Cover

FittedOversized
Fitted

Standard Tee

The cleanest, most athletic platform. Sits closer through the chest and shoulders with room to train. Not compression, but the most fitted of the three.

Rule: Buy your normal size for the athletic fit. Size up one for more torso room. Only size down if you want it tight.
Relaxed

Original Tee

The middle ground. Relaxed and slightly oversized with more room than Standard, without the full Iron volume. The safest first GASP tee for most builds.

Rule: Buy your normal size for the intended relaxed fit. Do not size down. Want tighter? Choose Standard instead.
Oversized

Iron Tee

The true pump cover. Loose oversized body, longer sleeves, full coverage. It is not meant to fit like a normal T-shirt, and it already runs big.

Rule: Buy your normal size for the oversized fit. Size down one for loose but not huge. Only size up for an extreme look.
Fast Reference

The Quick GASP Sizing Rule

  • Fitted or regular items: start with your normal size.
  • Original fit: stay true to size for the relaxed fit.
  • Iron fit: stay true to size for the full pump cover. Size down one only if you want it loose, not massive.
  • GASP pants: choose by waist, hips, quads and length. Never by your usual jean size alone.
  • Between sizes: size up for comfort, unless the piece is already intentionally oversized.
  • Still unsure? Email us before you order. We would rather get it right the first time.

How GASP Fits Compared to Regular Gym Clothing

GASP is not a slim fashion brand. It was built around bodybuilding culture, heavy training and old-school gym style. Many pieces are bigger, heavier, longer or more open than typical athletic wear. That does not mean everything fits huge. Understand the fit category before you choose a size.

Fitted

Close to the body, built to show shape.

Regular

Athletic and structured, but not skin-tight.

Loose / Relaxed

Roomier through the body, built for comfort and movement.

Oversized / Iron

True pump cover fit with extra volume, sleeve length and presence.

How to Measure for GASP

Use a soft measuring tape. Keep it flat, level and close to the body without pulling tight. These four numbers decide your size on any GASP piece.

01

Chest

Around the fullest part of your chest, across the shoulder blades, arms relaxed. Matters most for tees, tanks, hoodies, sweaters and jackets.

02

Waist

Around the narrowest part of your waist, or where you naturally wear the band. Matters most for mesh pants, joggers, sweatpants, shorts and belts.

03

Hips & Seat

Around the fullest part of your hips and glutes. Matters for pants and shorts, especially with larger glutes, hips or quads.

04

Inseam

From the inside of your upper thigh to where you want the pant to sit. Matters most for mesh pants offered in Regular and Long.

Baseline Numbers

GASP Men's Size Chart

Your starting point for GASP men's apparel. The chart gives you the size. The fit category tells you how that size will actually feel.

Size Chest Waist Hip
S 42 in 30 in 38 in
M 44 in 33 in 41 in
L 47 in 35 in 43 in
XL 49 in 37 in 45 in
2XL 52 in 40 in 48 in
3XL 54 in 42 in 50 in
4XL 56 in 44 in 52 in
5XL 58 in 46 in 54 in

If your chest and waist land on two different sizes, size to your chest for tops. Individual GASP products can carry their own fit notes, so always read the product description before you order.

T-Shirt Fit Guide

Every GASP tee sits somewhere on the Standard, Original and Iron scale. Here is exactly how each one is built and how to size it.

GASP Standard Tee Fitted

The cleanest and most athletic of the main platforms. Sits closer through the chest and shoulders while leaving room through the midsection to train and move. The most fitted GASP tee, but not compression.

Best for
  • A sharper athletic fit
  • V-taper builds that want shape shown
  • Training, casual and gym-to-street
  • Anyone who dislikes a baggy look
Sizing
  • Normal size for the athletic fit
  • Size up one for more torso room
  • Do not size down unless you want it tight
Body notes
  • Broad shoulders + smaller waist: one of your best GASP fits
  • Larger midsection: size up one
  • Used to loose gear? This feels more fitted than expected
GASP Original Tee Relaxed

The middle ground between Standard and Iron. Relaxed and slightly oversized with more room than Standard, without the full Iron volume. It gives breathing room without completely hiding your shape.

Best for
  • A classic bodybuilding tee
  • Lifters who dislike tight shirts
  • Training days that need room to move
  • Standard feels too fitted, Iron too big
Sizing
  • Normal size for the relaxed fit
  • Size up one to push toward pump cover
  • Do not size down. Want tighter? Choose Standard
Body notes
  • Strong for thicker builds, big chests and arms
  • Lean and want shape? May feel roomy
  • The easiest fit to recommend for most builds
GASP Iron Tee Oversized

The true oversized pump cover. Loose oversized body, longer sleeve length and a full-coverage silhouette. This is not meant to fit like a normal T-shirt, and it already runs big.

Best for
  • The classic pump cover look
  • Heavy training days
  • Layering over tanks and stringers
  • Maximum GASP presence
Sizing
  • Normal size for the oversized fit
  • Size down one for loose, not huge
  • Only size up for an extreme oversized look
Body notes
  • Tall lifters: the added length works well
  • Shorter lifters: size down one to control length
  • Big chest, arms, shoulders: normal size looks best
GASP Iron Thermal Tee Oversized

The Iron shape with a structured thermal fabric feel. A loose, oversized, full-length thermal shirt that works as a standalone training top or a layered pump cover.

Best for
  • Cooler gyms and warm-ups
  • Layering over tanks
  • Oversized looks with more texture
Sizing
  • Normal size for the oversized fit
  • Size down one for a cleaner relaxed look
  • Only size up for a very large pump cover
Body notes
  • Thermal fabric feels more substantial than a basic tee
  • Between sizes and don't want it massive? Choose the smaller
Physique to Old-School

Tank Top Fit Guide

GASP tanks are not one category. They run from fitted physique tanks to loose old-school cut-offs and deep-cut stringers. Size each by its cut, fabric and how much coverage you want.

Ribbed T-Back Fitted

One of the most physique-focused GASP tanks. A fitted tank made to sit close and highlight chest, shoulders, arms and upper back. The rib fabric stretches, so it moves while still showing shape.

Best for
  • A fitted bodybuilding tank
  • Chest, shoulder and arm days
  • Physique-focused training
Sizing
  • Normal size for a fitted look
  • Size up one for breathing room
  • Size up two for a much looser tank
Body notes
  • Big chest and lats: sits close, shows shape
  • More through the midsection: size up one
  • Want loose? Choose Vintage T-Back or Cut Out
Vintage T-Back Loose

A classic loose bodybuilding tank. Looser than the Ribbed T-Back and built for unrestricted upper-body movement, with a soft cotton jersey feel and more room through the torso.

Best for
  • Classic bodybuilding style
  • Back and shoulder days
  • Warm gyms, more movement
Sizing
  • Normal size for the loose fit
  • Size down one for less drape
  • Size up one for extra room and length
Body notes
  • Works for most builds
  • Lean and want tighter? Size down one
  • Thicker through chest or back: stay true to size
Essential T-Back Regular

A cleaner bodybuilding tank with a structured feel. More controlled than a loose cut-off, but more open and bodybuilding-specific than a regular tank. Shoulder and back visibility without going as minimal as a stringer.

Best for
  • A serious tank without the tiny stringer
  • Back, chest and shoulder days
  • Athletic gym looks
Sizing
  • Normal size for the intended fit
  • Size up one for more torso room
  • Size down one for closer and more controlled
Body notes
  • Balanced coverage for most lifter builds
Division Jersey Tank Regular

A racerback tank with a regular fit, based on the Vintage T-Back measurement approach with its own jersey-style look. More structure than a stringer and more coverage than a deep-cut minimal tank.

Best for
  • A classic tank with more coverage
  • Training and casual wear
  • The T-back look, cleaner style
Sizing
  • Normal size for the intended fit
  • Size up one for more body room
  • Size down one for a closer look
Body notes
  • Racerback shape, structured jersey feel
Original Cut Out Tank Loose

A loose, raw-edge, old-school cut-off training top. Larger arm openings, a loose silhouette and a rugged cut-off look, built for freedom of movement and upper-body exposure.

Best for
  • A raw bodybuilding look
  • Chest, shoulders and back
  • Heavy training, old-school gear
Sizing
  • Normal size for the loose cut
  • Size down one to sit closer
  • Size up one for more drape and length
Body notes
  • Wide lats, thick chest, big arms: works well
  • Narrow-framed: may feel very open
GASP Stringer Exposed

The most exposed and physique-focused tank. Deep armholes, less coverage and an athletic tapered silhouette, designed to show chest, shoulders, lats and upper back.

Best for
  • Physique-focused lifters
  • Chest, shoulder, arm and back days
  • Maximum airflow and visibility
Sizing
  • Normal size for the stringer fit
  • Size down one for more control
  • Size up one for drape, expect more openness
Body notes
  • Not into exposure? Choose a T-Back or Cut Out
  • Lean and want shape? True to size or down one
  • Thick chest and lats: stay true to size

Hoodie & Sweater Fit Guide

These are not lightweight fashion hoodies. GASP hoodies are heavier, more structured and built for training, warming up and everyday lifter wear.

Original Hoodie Relaxed

A relaxed training hoodie with heavyweight fleece and a classic GASP feel. Enough room for layering, substantial and warm without being restrictive.

Best for
  • Warm-ups and cooler gyms
  • Casual wear and layering over tees
  • Classic GASP without going extreme
Sizing
  • Normal size for the relaxed fit
  • Size up one for more layering room
  • Do not size down unless you want it tighter
Body notes
  • Heavyweight fleece holds structure
Hood Sweater Relaxed

Generally relaxed, comfortable and gym-ready, with soft cotton-blend comfort. Easier and more everyday-wearable than the heaviest GASP hoodies, while still carrying the look.

Best for
  • Training and daily wear
  • Layering
  • Comfort without restriction
Sizing
  • Normal size for a relaxed fit
  • Size up one for a looser streetwear look
Body notes
  • Lighter feel than heavyweight hoodies
Heavyweight Hoodies Structured

Built with heavier fleece and thicker structure. They feel more solid and sit with more structure through the shoulders, body, cuffs and hem. Not thin fashion hoodies.

Best for
  • Cold weather
  • Pre and post-workout warmth
  • Heavier apparel that holds its shape
Sizing
  • Normal size for the intended fit
  • Size up one for more layering room
  • Wearing over an oversized tee? Choose the larger size
Body notes
  • More substantial fabric weight than standard hoodies

Pants & Joggers Fit Guide

!

Do not size GASP pants by waist alone. Consider waist, seat and hips, quads, length, cuff style, fabric stretch, and whether the pant is regular, loose, baggy or mesh. This matters most for lifters with bigger legs.

Mesh Pants Core

A core part of GASP's bodybuilding heritage. Breathable and flexible, built for training. Many use an elastic waistband, drawstring and zippered pockets, with some offered in Regular and Long length.

Best for
  • Heavy training and leg days
  • Warm gyms, airflow over shorts
  • Classic bodybuilding outfits
Sizing
  • Choose by waist and hip first
  • Large quads or glutes: size up if needed
  • Between sizes: size up for comfort
Length
  • Choose Regular or Long by height and how much ankle stacking you want
No 89 Mesh Pant Loose

A loose-fit mesh pant with breathable fabric, front zipper pockets, elastic waistband and drawstring. Offered in Regular and Long, where Regular is shorter than the standard long GASP pant.

Best for
  • A classic loose mesh bodybuilding pant
  • Taller lifters needing Long length
  • Leg days and pump-cover lower-body style
Sizing
  • Waist and hip first
  • Regular for less length, Long for more stacking
Length by height
  • 5'8" to 5'11": Regular is the safer start
  • 6'0"+: compare Regular and Long by your break
Core Mesh Pants Regular

Regular-fit mesh pants with Regular and Long lengths. More regular than the loose No 89, with breathable mesh fabric, printed side panels and zippered pockets.

Best for
  • Mesh pants without the baggiest fit
  • Training and leg days
  • Classic GASP outfits
Sizing
  • Buy by waist and hips
  • Size up for more room in seat or thighs
Length
  • Choose Regular or Long by inseam preference
GASP Gym Pant Baggy

A true old-school baggy training pant. Full length with stretch in a cotton blend, elastic ankle cuffs and a relaxed structure that creates the classic balloon-style gym pant look.

Best for
  • Old-school bodybuilding style
  • Leg days, maximum room
  • Bigger quads and glutes, the 80s and 90s look
Sizing
  • Normal bottom size for the baggy fit
  • Size down only for less volume
  • Size up only if waist, hips or quads need it
Body notes
  • Big legs: one of the best options
  • Short and dislike ankle volume? Runs larger
  • Not a tapered jogger. This is old-school

Shorts Fit Guide

GASP shorts range from mesh training shorts to lighter performance shorts and textured thermals. Always check inseam and fabric.

Pro Mesh Shorts 11.5" inseam

Regular-fit mesh training shorts with an elastic waistband, drawcord, zippered pockets and an 11.5 inch inseam in size large. Breathable and built for movement, with more coverage than short athletic shorts.

Best for
  • Leg day and warm gyms
  • Longer training shorts
  • Bodybuilding and general lifting
Sizing
  • Normal size for the regular fit
  • Size up for larger hips, glutes or quads
  • Size down only for a tighter waistband
Notes
  • Longer inseam gives more coverage
Dynamic Shorts 8" inseam

Regular-fit performance shorts with a shorter 8 inch inseam in size large. Lighter and easier to move in than heavier mesh or thermal shorts, better for leg movement and athletic training.

Best for
  • Leg day and functional training
  • Summer workouts
  • A lighter short with less bulk
Sizing
  • Normal size for the regular fit
  • Size up for more room through hips and thighs
  • Larger legs + between sizes: choose the larger
Notes
  • Shorter inseam frees up leg movement
Thermal Shorts Relaxed

Waffle-knit style fabric with a relaxed training fit. More structured than lightweight performance shorts, built for warm-ups, cooler gyms and casual GASP style.

Best for
  • Cooler gym days and warm-ups
  • Recovery wear
  • Texture and old-school GASP style
Sizing
  • Normal size for the relaxed fit
  • Size up for more room or a casual look
Notes
  • Waffle-knit adds structure and texture

  • Large in Standard only if you want more room

If you normally wear Large

  • Large in Standard for an athletic fit

  • Large in Iron for the oversized look
  • XL in Standard for a large chest, broad shoulders or more midsection room

Common GASP Sizing Mistakes

01

Sizing up in Iron Tees automatically

Iron Tees are already oversized. Most lifters should stay true to size. Size up only for a very extreme look.

02

Sizing down in Original Tees

Original is meant to be relaxed. Want fitted? Choose Standard instead of forcing Original tighter.

03

Treating every tank the same

Ribbed T-Back, Vintage T-Back, Stringer and Cut Out all fit differently. Choose by exposure, fabric and shape.

04

Choosing pants only by waist

Hips, glutes, quads, inseam and length all matter, especially for lifters with bigger legs.

05

Ignoring product-specific notes

Always read the product description. GASP lists fit, material, length and athlete size examples.

Quick Answers

GASP Sizing FAQ

What is the difference between Standard, Original and Iron?

Standard is the fitted, athletic platform. Original is relaxed and slightly oversized, the classic middle ground. Iron is the true oversized pump cover with a loose body and longer sleeves. Choosing the platform matters more than the size number.

Do GASP Iron Tees run big?

Yes. Iron is intentionally oversized. Buy your normal size for the pump cover fit. Only size down one if you want it loose but not huge, and only size up if you want an extreme oversized look.

Should I size up or down in GASP?

Start with your normal size in most cases. Size up one in Standard for more room, choose the larger size in Original when between sizes, and lean toward the smaller size in Iron if you do not want it huge. For pants, size to your hips, glutes and quads.

How do I size GASP pants?

Never by your usual jean size alone. Choose by waist and hips first, then account for quads, seat, length and whether the pant is regular, loose, baggy or mesh. If a pant offers Regular and Long, pick length by your height and how much ankle stacking you want.

I normally wear a Medium. What GASP size should I buy?

Buy Medium in Standard for an athletic fit, Medium in Original for a relaxed fit, or Medium in Iron for the oversized pump cover. Only move to Large in Standard if you want extra room.

What is the safest GASP piece to order first?

The Original Tee in your normal size is usually the safest first choice because it is not tight and not extreme oversized. If you prefer an athletic fit, the Standard Tee is a strong first pick.
