Better Bodies Canada · Fit Guide

Size it right the first time.

Better Bodies is built for people who train hard and live in their gear. Some pieces sculpt. Some sit like a second skin. Some are cut oversized on purpose. One basic chart cannot cover all of that, so this guide breaks it down by product, by fit, and by body type so you order with confidence.

The Quick Better Bodies Rule

If you only read one part of this guide, read this. Start with the size chart, then adjust based on the exact piece you are buying.

Tight, sculpting or compression

Start with your normal size. Size up if you want less compression or more coverage.

Regular fit

Start with your normal size. This is the safe baseline for most tees and everyday pieces.

Oversized

Stay true to size for the intended oversized look. It is already built large.

Tapered or between sizes

Choose by chest, shoulders, waist, hips and quads, not just the size you usually buy.

How to Measure

Use a soft measuring tape. Keep it level, close to the body, and never pulled tight. These four numbers decide almost every Better Bodies fit.

01

Bust / Chest

Around the fullest part, tape flat across the back. Drives bras, tops, tees, tanks and hoodies.

02

Waist

Around the narrowest part. For bottoms, also think about where the waistband is designed to sit.

03

Hips / Seat

Around the fullest part of the hips and glutes. Critical for leggings, shorts and any fitted bottom.

04

Inseam

Inside upper thigh to where you want the pant to finish. Matters most for Regular and Long lengths.

Find Your Fit

Switch between Women’s and Men’s sizing above.

Women’s Sizing
Better Bodies Women’s Size Chart (inches)
Size Bust Waist Hips
XS 31 to 33 23 to 25 33 to 35
S 33 to 35 25 to 27 35 to 37
M 35 to 37 27 to 29 37 to 39
L 37 to 39 29 to 31 39 to 41
XL 39 to 41 31 to 33 41 to 43

This is your baseline. If your bust and waist land in two different sizes, size to your bust for tops and to your hips for bottoms.

Leggings

The most important women’s category to size properly. The right pair feels secure and supportive without going sheer, digging in, or rolling down.

High Waist Leggings

High-waist · Supportive

Slim and secure through waist, hips, glutes and thighs with a high band. Snug, but built to squat, hinge and lunge.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if the band digs in or the fabric thins across the glutes. Do not size down unless you want maximum sculpting.

Scrunch Leggings

Contour · Shape

Soft, stretchy and body-hugging with a ribbed waistband and shaping through the glutes. The scrunch seam should sit naturally.

Sizing

True to size. Never size down for more shape. Too small and the scrunch will not sit right and coverage drops. Pull them on gradually.

Core Leggings

Second-skin · Soft

Buttery and smooth, sitting close without feeling harsh. Built for comfort, stretch and daily movement.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for less compression. A strong pick if your weight shifts across training phases.

Core Leggings V2

Slim · 7/8 length

Slim, high-waist and slightly shorter 7/8 length with a soft brushed feel and a clean silhouette.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if you want full-length coverage or if the 7/8 feels short. Great for shorter friends who hate ankle bunching.

Skull Core Leggings

Sculpting · Graphic

The Core second-skin feel with a stronger graphic edge. High waist, smooth and streamlined.

Sizing

Match your normal Core size. Size up for more room through hips and glutes.

Seamless & Empowered

Compression · Sculpt

Slim, seamless and compression-based styles built to sculpt and support through training.

Sizing

Start at your normal size. Size up if you want less compression. Confirm the fabric stays fully opaque before sizing down.

Shorts

Built around high-waist support and leg-day mobility. The biggest mistake is a waistband that fits while the glutes or thighs need more room.

Standard Shorts

High-waist · Light compression

High-waist, close to the body, with a shorter inseam. Not loose running shorts. They move with you and hold a sculpted shape.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if the band digs in, the leg opening cuts in, or the fabric thins across the glutes.

Empowered Shorts

Medium compression · Sculpt

Secure high-waist fit with medium compression and a short inseam. Some styles add a hidden scrunch or sculpting back detail.

Sizing

True to size. If you are between sizes and do not want them riding up, take the larger size.

Sports Bras

Size by bust, rib cage, support level and comfort. A bra should feel secure without digging into the ribs or traps, or restricting your breathing.

Core Sports Bra

Medium support

Sleek and soft with removable pads and adjustable detail. Sits close through the bust and rib band so you are not constantly adjusting.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if the rib band digs in or the bust feels overly compressed. Fuller bust: size to bust comfort first.

Scrunch Sports Bra

Light support · Seamless

Soft, flexible and body-hugging with wide straps and a ribbed lower band. A shape-and-comfort piece more than a max-support bra.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if the lower band digs in. For higher impact, choose a medium-support bra instead of sizing down.

Classic Sports Bra

Medium support · Adjustable

Firmer and more secure than light styles, with foam lining and an adjustable back strap to dial in the fit.

Sizing

True to size. Use the back strap before deciding the size is wrong. Size up if the band feels too firm.

Strappy Bra

Light to medium · Style

Second-skin feel with a strappy, open back. More visual detail and mobility than a basic bra.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more coverage or less compression. Need maximum hold? Choose a medium-support bra.

Tops, Tees & Hoodies

The right size depends on whether the piece is meant to follow your body, sit cropped, or fall oversized. Do not size an oversized tee like a fitted one.

Fitted & Performance Tees

Fitted

Close and comfortable, smooth through the bust and torso with enough stretch to train in.

Sizing

True to size. Size up if the bust pulls or the waist feels tight.

Crop Tees

Cropped

Shorter silhouette hitting around or above the waistline depending on torso length. Body may run regular to slightly relaxed.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more drape or coverage. Longer torso: size up if you want more length.

Oversized Tees

Oversized · Pump cover

Loose, longer and relaxed with extra room through body and sleeves. Built as a pump cover, not a regular tee.

Sizing

True to size for the intended look. Size down one for relaxed-but-not-huge. Only size up for an extreme oversized look.

T-Backs & Tanks

Athletic · Open back

More shoulder freedom than a tee. T-backs open up the upper back; wider tanks give more coverage.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more body room, size down for less drape and more shape.

Hoodies & Jackets

Varies by style

Some shape the body, some are built for layering and comfort. Always check the specific piece.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for layering room. Only size down on relaxed styles when you want a sharper silhouette.

Joggers & Sweats

Relaxed · Comfort

More forgiving than leggings, in regular, tapered or relaxed cuts, with more room through the leg.

Sizing

Choose by waist and hips first. Size up for more glute or thigh room. Check length if you are shorter or taller.

Choose by Body Type

Fuller Bust

Size tops and bras to bust comfort first. Size up if fabric pulls across the chest or the band feels tight.

Best: Core Bra, Classic Bra, regular and oversized tees, hoodies.

Smaller Bust

Normal size works in light-support bras and fitted tops. Size down only if you are safely between sizes and want compression.

Best: Scrunch Bra, Strappy Bra, crop tees, fitted tees.

Smaller Waist, Fuller Glutes

Size leggings and shorts to hips and glutes first. The band should sit secure without rolling or digging in.

Best: High Waist, Scrunch, Core, Standard and Empowered Shorts.

Wider Hips or Larger Thighs

Do not size bottoms by waist alone. Size up if the leg opening cuts in, the fabric sheers, or the band rolls.

Best: Core Leggings, High Waist Leggings, joggers, sweats.

Longer Torso

Crop tops sit higher on you. Size up if you want more coverage and length.

Best: Oversized tees, regular tees, longer tanks, hoodies.

Shorter Torso

High-waist styles sit very high and crops balance the look without sizing up.

Best: 7/8 leggings, crop tees, Standard Shorts, Core Leggings V2.

Essential Tapered Tee

Sizing

True to size. Size up for a larger midsection, broad shoulders or a thick chest. Do not size down unless you want it very close.

Oversized Tee

Oversized

Sizing

True to size for the look. Size down one for relaxed-but-not-huge. Only size up for an extreme oversized look.

Iron-Style Tee

Double oversized

Built on an Iron-style platform: dropped sleeves, a double-oversized pump-cover feel and a bolder silhouette.

Sizing

True to size for the oversized fit. Size down one for less volume. Do not treat it like a regular tee.

Tanks

From athletic T-backs to loose cut-outs and oversized sleeveless thermal styles. Coverage and drape change a lot between them.

Essential T-Back

Athletic

Classic bodybuilding tank with a T-back cut, shoulder freedom and more physique visibility than a regular tank.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more body room, size down for a closer, more controlled fit.

Rib Essential T-Back

Structured · Fitted

Ribbed fabric for a structured, stretch-supported feel that shows chest, shoulders, arms and back.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more comfort. Only size down if you want a tight physique fit.

Relentless Cut Out Tank

Loose · Raw edge

Loose fit with dropped armholes and full freedom of motion. A worn-in look built for hard training, not a fitted tank.

Sizing

True to size. Size down one for less drape. Narrow frames: the armholes run very open.

Team Iron Thermal Tank

Oversized · Sleeveless

Oversized sleeveless thermal with old-school attitude. Closer to a sleeveless pump cover than a tight training tank.

Sizing

True to size. Size down one for less volume. Only size up for a very large sleeveless pump cover.

Hoodies & Sweaters

Ranging from regular full-length hoodies to heavier pro-style layering pieces. Always check whether it is regular, relaxed or oversized.

Pro Better Bodies Hood

Regular · Premium

Regular-fit full-length hoodie with brushed fabric and a structured build. The full-zip style works almost like a lighter jacket.

Sizing

True to size. Size up one for layering room. Size down only for a tighter body fit with no layering.

Pants & Joggers

Bottoms vary more than most expect: tapered, straight, baggy and mesh. Always weigh waist, hips, seat, quads, inseam and cuff style, plus Regular or Long length.

Tapered Joggers

Tapered

Regular waist, full length, tapered leg, soft waistband, drawcord, cuffed opening and zip pockets. A clean athletic jogger.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for larger glutes or quads, or for more relaxed comfort.

Sweatpants

Relaxed

More relaxed than tapered joggers, with elastic waist, drawstring and zip pockets. Some offered in Regular and Long.

Sizing

Choose by waist and hips first. Size up for more thigh room. Pick Long if you are taller or want extra length.

Mesh Pants

Regular · Breathable

Regular-fit breathable mesh built for airflow and classic gym function, with drawstring waist and zip pockets.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for bigger quads, hips or glutes. Choose Regular or Long by height and preferred break.

Thermal Original Pants

Baggy · Structured

Baggy, structured thermal fabric with drawstring waist and zip pockets. Intentionally roomy old-school pants.

Sizing

True to size for the baggy fit. Size down one for less volume. Only size up if the waist, hips or quads need it.

O.G Gym Pant

Baggy · Classic

Relaxed baggy silhouette in a soft stretch cotton blend with the classic balloon-style elastic ankle cuff.

Sizing

True to size. Size down for less volume. Only size up if you need room through the seat or thighs.

Straight Sweatpants

Straight · Semi-loose

Straight or semi-loose leg without the ankle taper of joggers. Often with elastic waist, drawstring and Regular or Long options.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more upper-leg room. Choose Regular or Long by inseam preference.

Shorts

From loose function shorts to breathable mesh and shorter old-school sweatshorts.

Loose Function Shorts

Loose · Performance

Lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric with a loose fit, adjustable waistband and full freedom of movement.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for larger hips or thighs, size down for a more controlled athletic fit.

1982 Mesh Shorts

Mesh · Breathable

Double-layer mesh for breathability and coverage, with elastic drawstring waist and zip pockets.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more thigh room. Size down only for less volume with a comfortable waist.

Old School Sweatshorts

Shorter · Raw cut

Shorter inseam, soft cotton, athletic fit and a raw cut-edge look.

Sizing

True to size. Size up for more thigh room or relaxed comfort. Do not size down if you already have larger quads.

Choose by Body Type

Broad Shoulders

Size tops by chest and shoulders first. Size up in tapered tees if the shoulders pull; stay true to size in oversized.

Best: Standard, Recruit, BB Legacy, Oversized tees, Pro Hood.

Large Chest & Arms

Give the upper body room. Stay true to size in oversized styles; size up in tapered tees if the chest feels tight.

Best: Recruit, BB Legacy, Cut Out Tank, Iron-style tees.

Smaller Waist / V-Taper

Reach for tapered and athletic fits when you want shape. Stay true to size to show the taper.

Best: Essential Tapered Tee, Standard Tee, Rib Essential T-Back.

Larger Midsection

Choose regular, loose or oversized fits. Avoid sizing down in tapered tees; size up if the body feels tight.

Best: Recruit, Standard, BB Legacy, Oversized tees, Pro Hood.

Big Quads & Glutes

Size bottoms by hips, seat and thighs, not just waist. Waist stretch does not fix a tight thigh or seat.

Best: Thermal Original, O.G Gym Pant, Mesh Pants, sweatpants.

Tall or Shorter

Tall: choose Long length where offered. Shorter: consider sizing down one in oversized tees and pick Regular length pants.

Best: Long sweatpants, Mesh Pants, Tapered Joggers, regular tees.

Common Sizing Mistakes

Most returns come down to the same handful of errors. Avoid these and you will get it right the first time.

1

Treating all leggings the same

High Waist, Scrunch, Core and Seamless do not fit alike. Size by compression, fabric, waistband and purpose.

2

Sizing down in Scrunch Leggings

It ruins the scrunch placement and overstretches the fabric. Take your normal size first.

3

Buying bras by shirt size

Sports bras need to fit the bust, rib cage, straps and support preference, not your tee size.

4

Sizing oversized like regular

Oversized tees are already built large. Stay true to size unless you want less volume.

5

Buying joggers by waist only

Quads, glutes, inseam, cuff style and taper matter just as much as the waist number.

6

Ignoring Regular vs Long

If a pant comes in two lengths, choose by inseam preference, not just your size.

What Size Should I Buy?

Fast answers for the most common decisions. Still stuck? The help section below has you covered.

Women, if you normally wear Small

Core Leggings: Small for a second-skin fit.

Scrunch Leggings: Small for the intended scrunch.

Sports bras: Small for normal support, unless the band digs in.

Oversized tees: Small for the intended oversized look.

Women, between Small and Medium

Small for more compression, if the fabric stays opaque.

Medium for more comfort, less waistband pressure, and more room through glutes or bust.

For Scrunch Leggings, Medium is usually the safer call.

Men, if you normally wear Large

Regular tees: Large for the intended fit.

Oversized tees: Large for the intended oversized look.

Tapered tees: XL with a big chest, broad shoulders or larger midsection.

Joggers: Large if waist, hips and quads all fit.

Men, between Large and XL

Large for a sharper fit.

XL for comfort, room or layering.

For oversized tees, Large may already be enough. For tapered joggers or big legs, XL is usually safer.
